Springfield’s Heritage Tour Ends Today
Today is the final day of the thirty-first annual Springfield Spring Heritage Tour, put on by the non-profit Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR).
The walking tour starts at 1321 Main Street. You are invited to take tea in Midgie's tea room, which recreates the southern ambience of Springfield in the early 1900’s. Then get a preview of the Cesery Building (aka Third and Main), which will be opening this summer as a mixed use development of apartment homes, shops, a grocery store, and more. The tour then takes you to six beautiful homes, Three Layers coffee house, and Confederate Park.
While at Three Layers, you will get a sneak preview of their new Wine Cellar and Zen Garden, which will be opening soon.
Tickets are $12.50 for SPAR members and $15 for the general public. The tour ran Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 8pm, and today from 1pm to 4pm. If you can't make it to today's tour, there's always the next one which is around Christmas.
Check out SPAR's website for more information.
