Well, it’s official.

Councilman Richard Clark is the newly elected President of the Jacksonville City Council.   And Councilman Jack Webb has taken over as the new Vice-President.

The election was basically a formality, with both men having locked up the votes needed to win their posts late last year.  Indeed, both were elected unanimously.

Clark has said he will focus on addressing spending issues during his term as President. 

“I don’t think our local government has that large of a revenue crisis,” he said. “I think our problem is on the expenditure side of the ledger.”
