Oil has been and will also be the driving force behind the global markets - proof is in the pudding my friend. If you are against the U.S. using what God gave us (oil!) then let's stop all supplies (air, sea, land) all industries stop...stores by the thousands shut down and close, factories close, food supplies halt, turn off your computer, t.v., radio, park your car, turn off your stove, turn off your heat/air and stop buying most of the products you buy...go ahead and search for yourself how much oil has an effect on...hello! Time for this nation to become wealthy from it's own resources available. As to possible damage to our "pristine beaches", this is a joke. Most anything is possible but with the modern technology of oil drilling very unlikely.One has a better chance of winning the Lotto than a spill happening. So, drill baby drill.
