Cindy Graves Tapped to Lead Florida Republican Women

cindyThe Florida Federation of Republican Women have elected Cindy Graves of Jacksonville to lead their organization through the 2010 and 2011 election cycles.

Graves was sworn in as the new FFRW president by Shirley Sadler, President of the National Federation of Republican Women, following a unanimous election at the FFRW Biennial Convention in Orlando last week.

“It is my privilege to lead this dynamic group of Republican leaders as we prepare for the pivotal midterm elections. We are blessed with energized members and a historically successful management program that will be redesigned to include the mastering of technology at every level. Our formidable grassroots machine will be totally engaged by January 1, 2010,” said Graves.

In addition to her leadership role with the Republican Women, Graves is also Duval County's elected State GOP Committeewoman.

Graves praised the members of the FFRW for electing a "diverse and imminently talented and qualified leadership team representative of the entire state" including: 1st VP, Ana Gomez-Mallada (Broward County); 2nd VP Diane McKechnie (Martin County); 3rd VP Patricia Magee (Walton County); Secretary Judy O'Donnell (Lee County) ; Treasurer Suzie Loving (Duval County); District Executive Christine Sutherland (Collier County) and three members at large -- Cherie Billings (Nassau County), Angie Boynton (Marion County) and Charlotte Flynt (Walton County).

The stated mission of the FFRW is to unite locally and nationally to strengthen the Republican Party by recruiting new Republicans, training volunteers and electing candidates while empowering women of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds in the political process.

The next state meeting of the FFRW Board of Directors will be held in Tallahassee immediately preceding the start of the 2010 Legislative session.
