To start off with the premise that you can't beat Grayson is to give the perception to the voters that you admit he's right in what he's been saying; republicans want old people to die quickly. It also seems like the GOP is acquiescing to ideals of those backing him, the DNC, MoveOn, Democracy For America et al., and to the direction they are pushing the country to go towards. A direction of Government bureaucracy, servitude to the state, equalization by tearing down "the rich", not by raising up "the poor", a Government that pushes people to think they can be nothing UNLESS they are helped by the Government.
