Florida Manufacturers Tap Lad Daniels as Man of the Year

ladJacksonville's own Lad Daniels has been named “Man of the Year” by the Manufacturers Association of Florida (MAF) at their recent annual summit in Orlando.

Daniels, a former Jacksonville City Council President, currently serves as President of the First Coast Manufacturers Association.

According to Nancy Stephens, the executive director of MAF, Daniels was selected for the award for his proven leadership on the state level.

“Lad has been a tremendous asset to our association,” said Stephens. “He served as a major fundraiser for our manufacturing projects. He served as Government Relations Chair, where he helped progress Florida’s manufacturing presence in Tallahassee and educating Florida legislators on manufacturers issues and concerns. And he was recognized for his long term commitment and enthusiastic advocacy on behalf of manufacturers.”

The First Coast Manufacturers Association is a non-profit trade association representing Northeast Florida's manufacturing community.

There are over 1,500 manufacturing companies on the First Coast, supplying over 45,000 jobs and generating nearly 15% of the total gross regional product.
