Jacksonville Sharks to be Featured on NFL Network
The Jacksonville Sharks will be one of the most televised teams in the Arena Football League in 2010. The AFL announced today a schedule of weekly games to be nationally broadcast on the NFL Network with four of the Sharks’ games appearing as a National Game of the Week.
“We are extremely excited that the NFL Network has chosen the Sharks to appear on the national game of the week 4 times this season,” commented Sharks Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy. “To appear on the network in 22% of the total games is an absolute credit to everyone in the organization, the season ticket holders and community partners that have worked so hard and have supported us in this inaugural pre-season.”
The Sharks NFL Network schedule kicks off with the franchise’s first home game appearing across the country on April 16th against the Orlando Predators. The NFL Network will also carry Sharks games at Tampa Bay, at Orlando, and at Chicago.
“To have the first ever AFL game played in Jacksonville to be on national television verse the Orlando Predators is just an unbelievable accomplishment for us,” Bouchy added. “We need to make sure this first game is sold-out and let Orlando and the rest of the county know the division title comes through our house!”
The Jacksonville Sharks are members of the Arena Football League (AFL) and will play all of their home games at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. They'll kick off play in April and season tickets for the inaugural season of the new team are available for as low as $45.
