Today’s Show: Chairman of Jacksonville’s Charter Review Commission
Wyman Duggan, chairman of Jacksonville's Charter Review Commission, will join us today on the Jacksonville Observer Radio Show hosted by Tom Patton. The commission has been hard at work presenting their recommendations to the Jacksonville City Council for changes to the city's charter.
Some of the commission's suggestions to the council include making it harder for the City Council to override a mayoral veto on financial issues, moving city elections to coincide with fall gubernatorial elections and major reforms that would make the School Board a largely appointed panel controlled by the Mayor and City Council. We'll get into all of those issues and more!
Duggan's day job is as an attorney with Rogers Towers in the firm’s Environmental and Land Use Department.
