Police officers have testified in committee hearings in Tallahassee that this bill will help them arrest known child predators who are getting away just because of the statute of limitations. Police sex crimes detectives have asked for this change in the law for over six years. Others have reported that civil cases have revealed hidden evidence that has been given to law enforcement and led to arrests and convictions of child rapists. This legislation can and will save childrens' lives. Standard, with due respect, this is not just “feel good” legislation. Rape of young boys was ALWAYS hidden, and if child spoke out, we would be severely beaten, and in one case, I actually witnessed the murder of one little eight year old boy, which is still being covered up, even though The Witness is still alive, and Dr. Baden who is a noted forensic Dr. concluded that this little eight year old boy was suffoated. How do I know? I was the other boy in the infirmary at the time. The Catholic Church has to much power to even think twice about many occassions like this.
