Bean Switches Senate Races

Former State Representative Aaron Bean was planning to be a candidate for State Senate in District 8 last year.   That was until he dropped out of the race and endorsed eventual winner John Thrasher.

Since then, Bean has remained listed as an active candidate for the seat in the 2010 election.  That is, until today when he switched over to running in the District 5 race scheduled for 2012. Senator Steve Wise is term-limited then.

Bean's initial campaign warchest sits at about $200,000, giving him a very healthy head start over anyone else who might be considering the race.

Former Representative Dick Kravitz had planned to seek the District 5 seat in 2012, but recently opted to run for Duval County Tax Collector instead.
