The political environment will favor drilling again just as soon as oil prices go up a little and things blow over a little with the spill. Oil will fund more asses in chairs in Tallahassee and we'll be convinced that "this time it's totally safe...really! Nothing bad can happen, honest." Then, 15 years later, another one of these things will burst open and the state will be covered in oil all over again. $50,000 per day is a pretty good deal for not having to set the beach on fire just so that we can walk around.
