If 71% of the voters indicated they wanted this item on the November ballot, our legislators should have stayed in Tallahassee and given us that opportunity. I believe that Sen. Thrasher wanted out of Tallahassee as soon as possible so he and other incumbents could continue to focus on their campaigns, which they could not do while in session. So once again, the concerns of the citizens of the state of Florida are overridden by the desires of the people who "represent" us.
