Rock The Ocean Festival Featuring Kenny Chesney At Tortuga Music Festival in Florida
Kenny Chesney will be a headliner for the first-ever Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 13-14, 2013. Being a beach bum himself, this is a perfect way to celebrate on the beach and give the ocean awareness.
The beach festival will be presented by Rock the Ocean, an organization that is dedicated to supporting scientific research, education and increasing public awareness about the issues impacting the world's oceans and their delicate ecosystems. Everyone in country music is pretty excited the Rock The Ocean Festival will be featuring Kenny Chesney At Tortuga Music Festival in Florida in April.
"This is not your average music festival," stated Tortuga producer AJ Niland. "This festival will showcase world class talent, with world class amenities on a world class beachfront setting. More importantly, it is a festival with a purpose."
The two-day Tortuga Music Festival will be directly on the beach in partnership with Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation and Ocean Conservancy. A Conservation Village will also be set up to provide information and tools needed to help preserve the world's oceans.
The music festival being produced by HUKA Entertainment, will be hosting over twenty pop, rock and country artists which include; Gary Allan, the Eli Young Band, Kip Moore, The Avett Brothers, Gary Clark Jr., Michael Franti & Spearhead, G. Love & Special Sauce and Sister Hazel have all been confirmed.
Eli Young Band's Jon Jones told CMT, "Every now and again, we get to play our music and support a great cause at the same time. The Rock the Oceans' Tortuga Music Festival will be that and more. The festival is taking place on one of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S. and aims to educate on how to keep it and other beaches clean and enjoyable for generations to come. It's great that this is a multi-genre festival. That will make it more fun for music fans and will allow the message of the festival to reach a greater audience."
Meanwhile, Gary Allan is very excited to perform on the beach since he grew up going to the beach. "I've been hearing about this festival for a while now and am excited to be a part of it. I grew up going to the beach every day when I was younger, so protecting the beaches and marine conservation have always been something close to my heart," Allan said in a statement.
The festival will be presented by Landshark Lager. Tickets to the beach music festival go on sale Saturday, December 15 on the official website.
