“TRUST ME”

by Jim Davis on March 8, 2010

I came across the information below concerning the Health Care Takeover as the two bills stand. There is a Judge named Kithill down in Texas who uncovered the following facts:

Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S.
residents, even if they are here illegally.

Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an
individual’s bank account and will have the authority to make electronic
und transfers from those accounts.

Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for
all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such
as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – ACORN).

Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be
treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?)

Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of
specialty, and the government will set all doctors’ fees.

Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient’s age.

Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital
expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception.

Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning
consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an
“end-of-life planning” seminar every five years.

Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.”

HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on: ” Finally, it is specifically
stated this bill will not apply to members of Congress. Members of
Congress are already exempt from the Social Security system and have a well-funded private plan that covers their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I believe they would find a very quick “fix” to make the plan financially sound for the future.”

The article is creditted to Marble Falls Picayune. I emailed the paper asking for confirmation and permission to print their artice in whole, but received no return correspondence.

Snopes says this article has some extreme assumptions concerning the ramifications of the bill; but really, who can say that?

We know that Obama was out misquoting CBO information today to justify his actions, so who’s to say whay is and isn’t correct?
Obama, who has lied, bribed, hid, and assaulted American citizens over this legislation now wants us to “trust him”?

The American people just can’t bring themsellves to do so. A current poll shows:

• 46 percent of Americans trust Republicans to deal with “the economy”; 41 percent trust Democrats; 13 percent are not sure.

• 47 percent trust Republicans on “national security and the war on terror”; 37 percent trust Democrats; 15 percent are not sure.

• 28 percent trust Republicans on “government ethics and corruption”; 35 percent trust Democrats; 37 percent are not sure

• 48 percent trust Republicans on “taxes”; 37 percent trust Democrats; 15 percent are not sure.

• 45 percent trust Republicans on “healthcare”; 42 percent trust Democrats; 13 percent are not sure.

• 42 percent trust Republicans on “abortion”; 38 percent trust Democrats; 20 percent are not sure.

Source: A Rasmussen Reports survey of 1,000 likely voters conducted Feb. 27 to March 2.

You see? Trusting Obama is not the inclination of the American people- and rightfully so.

Post image for Politicians Will Learn- Texas Style

Politicians Will Learn- Texas Style

by Jim Davis on March 3, 2010

For three and a half months we’ve met here at Morning in America and addressed the issues of the day. Mostly we’ve discussed the anti-American policies of the Democrats and their special interest backers. But we’ve also addressed the short-comings and failures of the Republican Party. On several occasions we’ve discussed an issue that we describe as a “condition”. That condition being “Potomac Fever”.

Potomac Fever describes the ultimate transformation of a politician from being one who identifies with his or her constituency, to identifying him or herself as a “Washingtonian”. In all fairness, the politician who comes to the Capital anxious to “get the Fever” is a rare occurence- or one must believe this: for sanities sake.

Most come with firm jaw, and squared shoulders determined to “be the difference”. But Washington is a place unlike even the most self-absorbed state legislatures. The lessons are difficult, the perks are gracious; and one must learn to navigate within the parameters to accomplish anything meaningful for those precious constituents back home.

The very paradigm must be overwhelming. Learning the rules, the customs, where’s the closest water closet to your seat on the floor of the Senate or House. Then to actually make a difference! The situation is mind boggling looking from the outside in. How much more to actually navigate through the maze of expectations? Those who succeed become effective, and develop a sphere of influence. It’s at this point the politician will begin to lose his or her affinity with the home-district and begin to succomb to “The Fever”.

This, in my opinion is what has happened to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. Here’s a wonderful woman, who went to Washington in a blaze of unapologetic Conservatism. She ran for Senate in 1993 to complete Lloyd Bensons term. She was literally the early swell of the 1994 Conservative wave that gave the majority to Republicans for the first time in a generation. Unfortunately, she became ill with Potomac Fever. Identifying with the Washingtonians more than she did the Texans she was supposed to represent.

I can remember several years back. She interviewed with Sean Hannity on his radio program. She mentioned that she was at a party with Ted Kennedy from Massachusetts. Hannity promised a $1,000 donation to her favorite charity if she could get Kennedy to interview over the phone. She did convince him. The last thing she said to Hannity before handing the phone over to Kennedy was “Sean, you be nice”. The tone and inflection was clear: “don’t be rude to my friend”. It was at this moment that I understood that Senator Hutchison had ceased to be part of the conservative wave and had become a part of the problem Americans see in our Capital. In the next few years, Hutchison became a participant in the Republican Debacle that necessitated their losing their majorities in Congress

I applaud Senator Hutchisons service to her state, and to our nation. I agree however, with Texas that it’s time for her to return home: a soldier weakened by the dysentery of Washington Politics.

Senator Hutchison, and others like her should understand that Americans aren’t vehement towards them. We understand that one can only wallow in the mud for so long before one becomes infected by the bacteria that resides in said mud. Senator Hutchison, your tour of duty ends in 2013. We are grateful for your service. Your replacement has been identified, and will be preparing to give you your well-deserved rest. Welcome Home.

At Morning in American we have consistently postured that the weak link in the Republican Party is the Republican politician. The majority of Americans define themselves as “conservative”- and agree with most of the Republican Party platform. The issue is, and always has been the “follow through” by those elected.

Governor Perry is a man who understands the problems of the people of Texas, and subsequently all over America. He understands the asphixiation caused by overreachng Federal intrusion. He understands the challenges and common sense solutions that will work to reinvigorate our economic and unemployment challenges. It’s time for this Governor, this front line leader to receive his promotion and bring the freshness of that common sense to the U.S. Senate.

Americans are tired of politicians’ over-spending and sloppy administration of the greatest nation this world has ever seen. The sunami has begun: New York 23, New Jersey, Virginia, Massachusetts, and now Texas: these are not political flukes. They are the first swells of this political tidal wave we call “Representative Governemnt”.

Americans want their country back. They want their Representatives to use the common sense that permeates our nations citizenry. They will not be insulted, assaulted, abused, nor rulled over. This nation belongs to them: the American people. The sooner Washington learns that, the sooner they can re-join the ranks of Patriotism.

This movement isn’t about one person. There’s no charismatic leader leading the charge. No, this is coming from the hearts of Americans who are still grateful that they wre born here. Children of Freedom- and very, very unapologetic for it!

Our nation has it’s dark moments, we sometimes make mistakes. But just as the sun always rises the next day, we find our way home. Twilight is shining on the horizon. It won’t be long and soon it will once again be “Morning in America”.

Jackasses Indeed

by Jim Davis on March 1, 2010

As I read and hear the vehement verbiage coming from the Liberals and Progressives (the difference is Liberals want social unheaval today, Progressives are willing to nibble away until they get the same results) that make up the Democrat Party. I see not only arrogance, but unadulterated hatred for those with the audacity to disagree with them. I find this odd since they posture themselves as being more “sophisticated”, more “accepting” of those with different proclivities.

It seems you can insult crippled veterans, assault women, have sex with children, conspire to destroy the national infrastructure, bleed the nations coffers dry, protect enemies of this country, and spit on the sidewalk if you support their plans to destroy social boundaries, (with the caviate that you can’t harm a bird egg: “that’s just wrong”). If someone disagree with them, there are no taboos or boundaries for their response.

We hear some of the vilest verbiage I’ve witnesses in my thirty-three years of participating in politics coming from these bigots. If you disagree with a Democrat it is now acceptable to insult that persons children. It’s acceptable to make a crippled child the butt of any crass joke you prefer to enunciate. It’s even acceptable to denigrate people from your own caucus if it will cast aspersions upon a Conservative.

Take for example, the Democrats propensity to attack the intelligence of Gov. Sarah Palin. Here’s a successful woman, who has held her faith and her family close to her heart and yet “anything” a Democrat chooses to say about her is received with sardonic glee and sadistic chuckles. Whether or not the assertion is true isn’t relevant- as long as it insults her person. The hatred for this woman is so caustic that it circumvents the tradition of excluding the children of public figures from public discourse.

Imagine the feedback if I observed that Sasha Obama looks more like Jeremiah Write than she does Barack Obama. The blowback would be instantanious and loud. But since Governor Palin is a “conservative” she AND her children are “fair game”.

Also, consider the willingness of Democrats to insult disabled veterans when they disagree with “Progressive” positions on the War on Terror. One incident recorded a Democrat telling a disable veteran who’d lost a leg, that his opinion didn’t count “because he couldn’t run any more”.

All of this from the Party that has more rapist, child molesters, and socialist, participating in their caucus than any other organization in the United States.

What I find most revealing is the inclination to laugh at unadulterated bigotry. It reveals the small minds of those who proclaim themselves to be “Progressive” and more sophisticated. If this is the new standard of “enlightenment”, then the likes of Bill Maher, the Black Panthers, and the Ku Klux Klan are now the pantheons of sophistication.

No wonder their Party emblem is a Jackass.

The Media Stunt with Obama

by Jim Davis on February 24, 2010

In the media stunt that Obama has planned this week, Republicans should make issue of the disdain Americans have for this legislation. They should do so with assertivness, and a modicum of passion. This will instantly allign the Republicans in the room with work-day Americans; and turn the conversation to the reality that this is litterally the American people versus Obama and the Democrats.

Republicans should wait until the cameras are on, then outline all of the horse-trading, backroom deals, abuse of American citizens, and shear arrogance of the Democrats, and the Administration this past year. I would even give away some beltway secrets about cloakroom dealing just to shock the Democrats by the audacity to publisize that part of the process.

Republicans should then delineate clearly their plan, it’s credibility based on it’s approval within the medical community, and finally use the CBO report that says the GOP plan is more effective and less costly.

Afterwards the Republicans, while the cameras are on: should offer to work with the administration IF they are willing to start from zero “in spite of the negative effects on the Democrat fund-raising prospects next year”.

“As you’ve said, Mr President; this is more about achieving a goal than it is partisan posturing”. The public doesn’t want this legislation. As Representatives, we cannot in good faith help you pass something so despised by the American people”.

“Until we can agree to start from zero to work on a bill that respects the American people, and brings down health care cost without raising taxes: we cannot in good faith help you oppose the American people. Until then, Mr. President; we are at a stand-still”.

This will alleviate the Democrats’ ability to say they offered the Republicans an opportunity to cooperate, and it returns the responsibility of this legislation into their socialistic laps.

After all, the reason they want Republican Buy-in is to claim it was a bi-partisan bill when people realize they’ve been harmed by the new policies.

Post image for Democrats Unnerved

Democrats Unnerved

by Jim Davis on February 23, 2010

I got the following e-mail from move-on.org What it illustrates is that the Dems, and their socialistic allies are besides themselves because they can’t get socialism through Congress. They believe its because they can’t get all the Dems on board; what it illustrates is the American people have been heard; and they are against this Health Care takeover. The e mail:

Dear MoveOn member,

If the final health care reform bill doesn’t include a public option, it’ll be because of conservative Senate Democrats like Blanche Lincoln.

After taking more than $700,000 from Big Insurance and HMO interests, she was one of just a handful of senators who vowed to filibuster health care reform until the public option was removed—and just Friday, she denounced it again.1

But now we’ve got a huge opportunity to replace her, and to send a powerful message to Washington that obstructing progressive legislation has heavy political costs.

She’s up for reelection this year, and Bill Halter, the state’s progressive lieutenant governor, is deciding right now whether to challenge her in the Democratic primary.2 Can you sign our petition to Bill Halter telling him we’ll have his back if he decides to run?

The petition says, “We’ve had enough of Democrats like Blanche Lincoln who listen to big corporations instead of their constituents. We urge you to challenge her in the primary and we’ll work hard to support you if you do.”

We asked MoveOn members in Arkansas about this race, and over 90 percent said that we should urge Halter to run and support his campaign.

Jennifer P. from Little Rock told us, “Lincoln never met a special interest she didn’t like. It’s hard to express just how awful she has been as a senator. I don’t know of anyone who will vote for her if she shows up on the November ballot.”

By contrast, according to MoveOn member Bill C. from Pocahontas, Halter is “more electable and much more likely to support progressive legislation.”

As lieutenant governor, Bill Halter led the successful campaign to establish a state-run lottery with all proceeds donated to tens of thousands of college scholarships for Arkansas students.3 He also recently helped organize a free medical clinic that provided care for more than 1,000 uninsured Arkansans.4 And he’s spoken out strongly against anti-gay ballot measures in Arkansas.5

But he’s facing a tough fight, because Lincoln has raised millions in campaign contributions from corporate interests and has more than $5 million in the bank.6 So we need to show Bill Halter that progressives will support him if he decides to run.

Click here to sign the petition:

Thanks for all you do.

–Adam, Ilya, Michael, Kat, and the rest of the team

My reply to Adam, and the “team” is “Don’t worry; Lincoln a a whole lot of other Democrats will be unemployed next year. Put up your liberal candidate: I dare you”.

The reality is this is a scare tactic to “encourage Lincoln” to vote for the health Care takeover. It doesn’t matter whether she does or not, polls show she will be replaced by a conservative anyway.

Democrats are illustrating all over the country that they know they’re in trouble. Not just “a couple of seats are in danger” trouble; but “every Congressman has to get re-elected this year” trouble.

Each Republican Excecutive Committee around the country should assume that their Democrat Congressman is in danger of losing his/her seat.

The fight will not be won by assuming it to be so. Each and every conservative in America must vote in the mid-terms; and that vote must be coordinated to elected the most viable conservative in the district. The Democrats are going to try to split the conservative vote by offering “Tea Party” candidates in areas where that will only split the vote and cause elections to default to liberal Democrat. In other places they’ll attempt to marginalize the conservatives by castigating them with inoculous charges. All because they understand that a win for the Republican Party in this election cycle not only loses them their majority, but it gives the GOP politicians the opportunity to redeem themselves for their last bout of Potomac Fever.

The trumpet has sounded, The cause is good. Conservatives have the momentum; and it is time for battle.

Post image for Republican Answers, Not Politicians

Republican Answers, Not Politicians

by Jim Davis on February 17, 2010

The reason Americans are so upset with politicans is because they, (Americans) repudiated Liberalism in the elections of 1994. Since that time, GOP politicians developed “Potomac Fever” and the Democrats assimilated more moderate verbiage into their message. After their victories, the Democrats illustrated just how liberal they’ve really been since the 1960’s. That created a backlash that’s accentuated by over 100 Republican victories in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. Also born from that backlash is the Tea Party movement.

The Tea Party movement is a conglomeration of citizens who’ve had enough of poor fiscal policies, weak military postures, and supercilious prima donnas pontificating on their superior visions of America. What the American people want is someone to represent them. They want someone with a modicum of horse-sense to represent their values, and perspectives.

The GOP has the right message, now it needs to develop the right candidates. In the past six months I’ve visited and discussed the current political environment with New Englanders, Mid-Westerners, and have just returned from Virginia. All the feedback I recieve has one common thread: “The GOP says the right things, but fails to follow through once elected”. This draws me to a conclusion that the political landscape isn’t in contention with the Republican Party- but Republican politicians.

The problem is the narcissistic mentality of the electeds. The answer is to support candidates who publically, and practically support the conservative principles of their local Republican Party. Each local party should document their positions, based on the Republican platform; and require their Republican candidates and incumbents to explain their position on the issues delineated.
Again, voters want to know what a candidate or incumbent opines on the most important issues to the local constituency. They want to know, then vote for someone who holds their perspectives.

This can be accomplished by sending to each and every elected person (you’ll notice my refrain from the term “official”) of the District and State a declaration of the positions of the Republican party they are paid to represent; then ask for a written reply. A reply very short on conciliation, and very long on real positions of the elected individual. Afterwards, that elected should be asked, and expected to return home and explain any deviations from their stated principles- minus the “spin”.

“Potomac Fever” isn’t a symtom of living and working in Washington D.C.- it’s a symptom of voters allowing the elected to be treated as “stars” instead of “employees”. The reticence towards disagreeing with a politician- just because he has a title. I find this to be contradictory of what their position is supposed to be, and allows them to by-pass real responsibility for their positions. Within the last year I’ve witnessed representatives visit with local Republicans and either misrepresent their positions, or openly disagree with basic conservative principles. This, from the one major urban area in Florida that kept it’s head and overwhelmingly voted Republican in November 2008.

Americans are angry about politicians playing them like musical instruments. Americans are tired of being excused as dolts, or ignoramouses: they are tired of con-artist vying for their votes. Enough is enough. Politicans beware: Americans want someone to represent them!

The Republican party, under the leadership of Michael Steele is listening to grassroots Republicans. This is a good start, but the grassroots, (Republican AND Independent voters) have already spoken loud enough to be heard. The party does well to listen: but as an example to the Republican politicians.

The expectations have come full circle, it is once again: “Morning in America”

Sarahs’ Hand- the Root Cause of the Controversy

by Jim Davis on February 11, 2010

While I think Democrat politicials despise Palin because she’s compelling, I think journalist denigrat her in arrogance. This is indicative of the divide between rural and urban Americans.

I spoke with a pastor from New York and asked his opinion of why there is such a divide. He responded that “big-city mentality” is based on a “leave me alone- go bother someone else” attitude. While rural people are still built on the “community spirit”.

Most rural based demographics (including the south) still wave at stranger while passing on the street, we are more likely to start conversations with strangers while waiting in line, and yes: Friday night football is still the highlight of the week.

These are the demographics that drive American politics- and the demographic that irritates the big-city journalist. They just don’t understand what life is all about.

Jim note: Not to mention the fact that Palin uses a minimal outline because she speaks from the heart- as opposed to Obama using a teleprompter to tell him what he thinks. It’s the difference between sharing what one believes, versus posturing for affect.

Post image for “It’s All About The Follow Through”

“It’s All About The Follow Through”

by Jim Davis on February 8, 2010

In 2006 and 2008 the Democrat Party stumbled upon a unique idea in the political process: offer candidates who understand whom the voters want, and represent the very ideas that are important to them. They produced conservative, or “blue dog” Democrats who mirrored the people of their districts.

The idea was the controlling party had lost touch with its constituency, and there was a very real opportunity to draw some of those voters away. That was accomplished with a combination of presenting the right candidate while focusing on the weaknesses of the Republicans. It was a good plan- it was the right plan to give the Dems back their majorities in both houses- and even elect the most under-qualified President in the Nations history. However, the Democrats failed to follow through on their new business plan. They gave the customer (the American voter) the product (candidates) he wanted: it looked good, the wrapping was impeccable, but just like the toys from post WWII Japan: when opened, the entire thing fell apart in the customers lap.

The founder and creator of the Saturn Business Plan, W. Edwards Deming; could not have done a better job of finding, and delivering to the customer what he wanted-or so it seemed. This was a facade. It was a facde that the Democrats couldn’t uphold long. It quickly fell once they’d gained their goal of absolute power in the nation’s capital.

In a matter of weeks, the nation realized the mistake it had made, and became resentful towards the Democrat Party for “suckering” them into their scheme. Democrats not only hadn’t delivered the product they promised, but they ignored, insulted, and on occasion; assaulted those who would publically disagree with them. This became the foundation for the Tea party movement this past year.

The “lesson” is the American people, are still in charge in this country. Politicians can have their two, four, or six years of glory, but ultimately the voters will prevail. New Jersey, Virginia, and Massachusetts illustrate that the American people ultimately determine the direction of the nation; not the politicians.

Enter the Republican Party. The party has owned the winning product since the 1980’s. The Republican Party now has the opportunity to regain its “market share” IF it’s product (conservatism) will match it’s advertisment. The GOP has the right platform- the right “product” if you will.

Republicans would do well to understand that they will get another opportunity to gain back some of their seats this November- based soley on the fact that they aren’t Democrats. But they are on performance-based probation.

Americans resent the fact that they must stop focusing on their lives, their careers, and their families to “straighten Washington out”. But if they must; they must. The politician who defies the citizenry would be well advised to brush up his resume.

Americans want what they want, and the first party to deliver it is going to dominate the political stage for decades to come. It is once again; Morning in America.

Jim note: W. Edwards Deming was a process engineer who helped American business meet the demands of government contracts during WWII. Post war, the Japanese hired him to assist is the re-building of their industrial infrastructure and the marketing of their products. He became the originator of The Saturn Business plan. The plan focusses on high quality, meeting customer needs, and capturing market shares.

El Duce or Scut Farkus?

Post image for El Duce or Scut Farkus?

by Jim Davis on February 5, 2010

Obama just can’t make up his mind who he wants to emulate. When he was Candidate-Obama, he wanted to be Ronald Reagan. He postured himself as “everybodys man”: a man of the people, Mr. Smith goes to Washinton. After the election, he changed his personna to Benito Mussolini. Using all of his power or henchmen to chide, cajole, threaten or buy all who would dare to oppose him. He had supreme rule over the Washington, and he thought: the country. But the “peasants” fought back.

They formed legal protest all over the country, and they did so often. El Duce then assumed another role: meet Scut Farkus. You remember Scut Farkus- the bully Ralphie proclaim “He had yellow eyes, so help me God, yellow eyes!”. You remember the story; Scott Farkus, the bully in Jean Shepherds, A Christmas Story. Farkus ran rough shod over all the little people. Striking fear into their hearts with just his laugh. He always had his Toadie Rover Dill (Rham Emanuel?) along him. Looking for the right opportunity to use the fear of Farkus to make himself look taller.

Then one day, Scut picked on the wrong kid, the wrong way, on the wrong day. Ralphie’d had enough, and the snowball was the straw that broke the camels back. Wham! “Ragom, frackus, mettle, gushun, you. . . .” Rover tries to intercede in his cowardly little way (Rham Emanuel and his notorious F-bombs?). But to no avail; Ralphie’s had enough- It later became known as the “Tea Party Movement” (I know, you thought I was going to say “The Scut Farkus Affair”).

Remember the beating Farkus took? When the mother finally pulled Ralphie off of Farkus, she took him home, coddling him- and left the bully, drenched in his own nose-bleed, to get himself out of the snow.

Now Farkus, I mean Obama, sees himself with some friends who are about to lose their jobs (by following him, but in his mind that’s “their problem”). So who does this chameleon morph into? You guessed it! Enter “William Jefferson Clinton”. He will now attempt to ride above the fray; the deisention he exacerbated with his policies and posture. Remember “I won the election” when asked why he and the Democrats were shutting Republicans out of the policy formation process? N-O-W he wants to posture this is what he inherited, and repudiates from the bottom of his sin-less heart. . .

He wants to triagulate his way through his policies; now that he’s been “Farkussed”. Making nice, promising things he has no intentions of fulfilling, and frankly, throwing his own party members under the bus.

The nation has repudiated his abuse and schemes. He’s lost his super- majority. NOW Obama visits the Republicans on the other side of the tracks and proclaims “I am not an ideologue”. Which has been his funniest line since he burst onto the national stage.

Republicans should remember all of this as he smiles innocently and shakes their hands warmly. My understanding is El Duce was quite the charmer himself.

No, I’d advise the GOP to remember the tone, the back room deals, and most importantly, the abuse of everyday citizens who showed up to make their opinions known.

This man, this administration, this Democrat lead Congress cannot, for the sake of justice and history survive their castigation of the American people! To be succinct, they need to whip the pants off of this man, and this party. And they need to do so as a “lesson” to teach anyone else who comes after them that this is EXACTLY the type of governing this nation will not stand for!

They need to see Scut Farkus’s blood in the snow, they need to see El Duce (politically, not literally- don’t want the feds banging on my door) hanging from his heels while everyone gets the opportunity to view his scoundrel hyde displayed in humiliation.

Republicans: don’t play his game. He’s going to try to convince you that he’s not an ideologue, or a charlatan- but he’s proven himself to be both.

If you think he’s your friend now that he needs you: look at how he treats his real friends. Can anyone deny he’s used the Dems and left them to defend themselves? Just think of what he’ll do to his political adversaries. After all, he does come from Chicago. . .

Post image for Obamanomics: the Presidential Guide to Ruin.

Obamanomics: the Presidential Guide to Ruin.

by Jim Davis on February 1, 2010

Business hasn’t been good for some time now. People are losing their jobs, and those still employed are afraid they may be next. My profit and loss sheet shows a steady decline in revenue, while the cost of raw materials are creeping up.

I’m going to have to make some changes in the business model. Right now operations and material are costing approxamately 53% of each dollar, leaving 45% for expenses and somewhere find some semblance of a profit.

Thanks to the wisdom of Obamanomics, I’ve figured it out. I’m going to raise my overhead to 78% and “spend my way out” of this financial crisis! I really can’t afford it, but I’ll just get a really big loan and use my kids college funds for collateral.

First thing I’ll do is cut my employees paychecks, and tell them it’s good because I’m going to hire a person to do all of their easy stuff. That way, they can focus on the hard stuff. See how their lives have been simplified?

Next, I’ll buy new equipment. Not the equipment the employees use, but things that make them “feel better”. Maybe some pictures for the wall. Oh! and a new snack machine right there in the office. Only 45 cents for generic brand soda! Hey! we can even throw big company picnics every Friday afternoon so they won’t miss their former wages! Yeah, yeah; that’s it!

I’m concerned about their environment, so I’m going to buy a couple of bird baths for the lawn area, maybe paint the building. After all, they’ll feel better about working harder for less if they have an attractive building to work in, right?

Next, I’ll add all my relatives to the company health care plan. There’s no way I’m going to accomplish that without either paying higher rates, or deminishing the policy benefits: or both. But I’ll just tell them that it’s all going to be OK. They can trust me.

Of course, they should be more frugal in their use of company resources. I’m going to have to keep an eye on them from my company-paid trip to Hawaii. If they have any questions, I’ll be at the resort. If they dare to question my reasoning, I’ll remind them I’m the boss and they’re not acting like team players.

I know this is a beautiful business model because the Democrats have developed a new mantra. They call it “spending myself out of poverty”. Oh sure, it’ll run up the company credit cards to a point that I’ll never get them paid back. The company will go into recievership, employees will lose their jobs, but maybe, just maybe if I run the bills up really high the P&L will maigcally even out and show a profit over the next twenty years or so.

Today James Clyburn (D) South Carolina said “We have to spend our way out of of this recession”. So spending your way out of poverty is the latest and best wisdom we have coming from Washington D.C.

What absolute tripe! The position makes as much sense as the above business model: it doesn’t?
